What Is Kinesiology?
Kinesiology literally translates to the study of body movement. Kinesiology tests the body’s muscles to uncover information about the client’s wellbeing.
Holistic Kinesiology combines Western principles with Traditional Chinese Medicine and Eastern Wisdom to promote health and wellbeing on a spiritual, emotional and physical level.
It combines the muscle monitoring of kinesiology with other complementary medicine modalities, including acupressure, energetic medicine, counselling, Chinese 5 element theory, nutrition and homeopathy as appropriate. Each client has a different set of stresses and concerns, and therefore the treatment for each client is individually tailored to their needs.

Where Did It Originate?
Kinesiology originated back in the 1960’s out of chiropractic principles and was coined Applied Kinesiology (AK), developed by Dr George Goodheart.
In the early 1970’s, another chiropractor, Dr John Thie developed a program out of AK, called Touch for Health.
Touch For Health came to Australia in 1979, and is widely used in a variety of fields in conventional medicine, allied health and complementary medicine fields.
